I want to thank the Faith in Action office for helping me pay off the balance of an old utility bill so I could establish a new account for a new apartment.  After finding housing through the Housing Resource Center, I was worried I would not have any money to pay this account off.  I received a call for Faith in Action office and they immediately made the check to VA Public Utilities.  I am grateful for both of these organizations for meeting my need so quickly so I did not lose my apartment.

Faith in Action office was able to assist the Housing Resource Center in placing a mother and 3 children into permanent housing.  All funds were collected from area churches to meet this need but still $100 short for admin fee.  Faith in Action had the funds to meet this need and were glad to help with getting the family into their own place. Thanks to all those who donate to this fund.

For more information in giving to this fund, please contact Nancy Will (nwill@cox.net).

During these uncertain and turbulent times, it is very easy to feel helpless.   Making a donation to the Faith in Action Fund helped us to feel empowered and know that we are able to make a positive impact by providing help to those directly in need.  Giving this way truly allows us to put our "faith into action" while prayerfully maintaining our help for a better tomorrow.

We, at the Faith in Action office, received an urgent request from a grandmother raising 3 of her grandchildren.  She had recently moved to this area.  She had exhausted her resources staying in a motel until she could find permanent housing.  Her request through the VB school district was for $150.00 to secure this apartment.  We are so thankful for all the donors to this FIA fund to help in a situation just like this.  Thank you all for the support.
